CICO Technologies LLC(“CICO”, “we”) makes property management software for hotels, inns, campgrounds and other lodging businesses (“Properties”). This policy explains what information we collect through this website, the CICO app and the booking pages that Properties publish with CICO, and how we use it.

When you book a stay, the Property you book with decides how your booking information is used. CICO handles that information for the Property, to run its bookings, payments and guest messages.

1. Information we collect

Guests.When you book on a Property’s booking page: your name, email address, mobile number, address, the details of your booking, the messages you exchange with the Property, and whether you agreed to receive text messages. Card payments go to the Property’s payment processor.

Property staff. When a Property uses CICO: account details such as name, email address and phone number, and the information the Property enters about its rooms, rates and reservations.

Website visitors. What you send us through the demo or contact form, and, if you accept analytics cookies, how you use this website.

2. How we use information

to take, change and manage bookings for the Property you book with
to send booking emails and, if you agreed, text messages about your stay
to process payments, prevent fraud and keep the service secure
to give support to Properties and answer the questions you send us
to improve CICO, and to meet our legal obligations

3. Text messages and mobile information

If you tick the text-message box on a booking page, we record your mobile number, the date and time of your consent and the exact text you agreed to. We use your number only to send the messages described in our SMS Terms.

We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers, text-message opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share your number only with the service providers that deliver the messages, such as our messaging provider and mobile carriers, and only for that purpose.

4. When we share information

with the Property you book with, which receives your booking details
with service providers that work for us, for example hosting, payment processing, email and text-message delivery, and website analytics
when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of guests, Properties or CICO
with a buyer or successor if CICO’s business is sold or merged

5. How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as the Property uses CICO and as long as the law requires for tax, accounting and payment records. We delete or anonymise it after that.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring to protect information. No system is fully secure, but we work to keep yours safe.

7. Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information. For booking information, contact the Property you booked with first; you can also email us at info@mycico.com. You can turn off analytics cookies with the cookie settings on this website.

8. Children

CICO is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may change this policy. The date at the top of this page shows the last change.
